We Don’t Know Volcanoes

The chaos happening in on the Big Island of Hawaii got us thinking about just how many volcanoes are around the globe. This week, we take a quick look at volcanoes near us and the risks they pose. Plus Steve gets amped up about overly dramatic volcanoes in pop culture.

It turns out that there are more than 15 volcanoes in California alone and more than 160 along the infamous Ring of Fire. It’s scary to think that a catastrophic eruption even greater than what happened in 1980 at Mt. St. Helens could happen at any time! I guess we’d better be prepared!
